Yew Lean Foundry & Co Sdn Bhd ("Yew
Lean") is Malaysia's leading manufacturer of Ductile Iron
(DI) pipes. Other products manufactured include Ductile Iron
fittings, saddles, manhole covers, valves and other products
which use Ductile Iron as base material. Yew Lean is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of YLI Holdings Berhad, a Company listed on the Main
Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange with paid-up capital
of RM98.6 million and authorised capital of RM500 million. Shareholders'
funds stood at
RM196.7
million as at financial year ended
31 March 2009.
For over 35 years, Yew Lean has been in the casting business.
Today, its main production facility is located in Prai Industrial
Estate, Prai, Penang. The production of Ductile Iron pipes commenced
in 1993, marking a major milestone in our achievements and making
Yew Lean the first and leading manufacturer of Ductile Iron
pipes in Malaysia.
For many years, Yew Lean's products are
sold to the waterworks industry in Malaysia as well as the country's
sewerage department. Its products have also been supplied to
several key waterworks and sewerage projects in the region.
Yew Lean's (YL) Ductile Iron pipes and fittings are manufactured
to conform to BS EN 545:2006 and have been awarded with the
MS ISO 9001:2000 certification by Standards Industrial Research
Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) as well as BS EN 598:1995 by Productivity
and Standards Board (PSB) Singapore. |
